Whether you've created an account on every social media platform or you're just getting started, here are some tips to help you succeed in social media marketing in 2023.
Define your indicators of success . Now that you're ready to create a strategy to differentiate your social media marketing in 2023, how will you go about it? It is important to define what success looks like for you.
How have you measured the success of your company's social media so far? Many small business owners can honestly answer, "Just make sure you have social media and post there." There's nothing wrong with starting with simple goals like these, but without clearly defined measures of success, your efforts can become confusing and growth can be difficult. to be. If you want to be truly successful with your social media in 2023, you need to learn what "success" really is and clearly define it.
At the end of the day, social media has to deliver results. But sometimes the path is not so straight. Start by acknowledging the obstacles in your business as a whole and ask yourself, "How can social media help us deal with this?" Perhaps one of the biggest obstacles you face is customer confusion, and you're always educating customers about your product or service. How can social media marketing help? Perhaps create short and long video content that answers common questions on social media and informs people about products and services. But how can we measure the success of these efforts? Indicators such as the number of videos posted, how engaging those posts are, and the number of requests received may have decreased. Assign specific numbers to these metrics to create your goals, and now you can get things done.
Create an integrated social media presence . A try-everything approach often occurs when a business tries to jump in without defining metrics for every trend and post success. They may want to post every day to test the work, but they are not strategic about the quality of the content they post. The result is a cluttered collection of content that looks unprofessional and says nothing to your audience.
Social media integration is important because it is part of your brand. Does it look clean and organized when someone visits your Instagram business? Can they immediately see who you are and what you do? Do they adopt your brand? It should be easy for them to view your website where they can find all the information they need with very little effort.
Coordination with video content is also important. Try to think about your brand voice and the brand values you want to convey. If your brand voice is young and fun, you can record much of your video content with an iPhone and use some TikTok trends like "POV" and sitcoms to connect with your audience. If your brand voice is more professional and polished, you can set up a dedicated recording area where someone can sit at a desk and address the audience directly. Either way, setting it up early will help you get the right content for your brand.
