Ms. Weiss said her experience as a marketing manager at a fast-growing startup will come in handy at Loop.

The company plans to hire a marketing manager who will report to Ms. Weiss.

According to industry research firm IBISWorld Inc., brick-and-mortar stores in the US selling consumer durables for babies and children under 4 years of age will reach approximately $11 billion in revenue by 2022. This figure includes the sale of children's goods, such as furniture, car seats. and strollers, but not from retailers who mainly sell toys or clothes.

While some rental competitors are focusing on travel gear like strollers and car seats, Loop intends to focus on home goods, Weiss said.

A landlord can reach out to parents who want to reduce the clutter or environmental impact, Weiss said.

Ms Weiss said children's products and toys "have a very long lifespan in the world, but a very short one at home because children grow and change very quickly."

Over the next year, Loop plans to expand into areas that have yet to be determined.

“Our vision is that we can offer this service in many markets, many cities, and many metropolitan areas in the US,” said Ms. Weiss.

The company also sees an opportunity to offer products for older children, he said.
