BLND's Public Relations Partner Management .
Today's ever-changing media landscape offers a variety of options for brands to spice up their marketing and PR strategies. Apart from Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, there are many other platforms when it comes to social media or communication planning.
These are some of the platforms that are least used by brands, but are extremely popular with consumers
a blow
Twitch is a live streaming platform where creators broadcast their content in real-time to thousands, sometimes millions of viewers. Although Twitch is usually associated with video game streaming, it is now becoming a destination for almost every industry.
In addition to traditional paid advertising, Twitch, like other platforms, offers exciting partnership opportunities. Twitch creators are known for having loyal followings and can be more powerful than the average Instagram influencer. With personalized video content and a more authentic touch, Twitch can be the perfect place to reach a diverse audience and differentiate your brand from the crowded sea of Instagram recommendations.
YouTube:
YouTube isn't exactly new, but it might be a platform you haven't considered in your company's PR plan. Not only does YouTube offer great paid advertising opportunities, it's also a place where you can tell long stories or tutorials about your product.
As all platforms evolve and compete with each other, we continue to see changes in each of them. YouTube is no exception. Recently they released a shorts version that can be compared to the reel on Instagram. This allows brands to promote content across platforms and reach more audiences by uploading their short videos on both platforms If you've neglected YouTube for your business in the past, maybe it's time to take a second look.
be honest
This new app exploded this year thanks to its new method of posting photos in real time without filtering. Every day, users are encouraged to "get real" and post a photo of what they're doing from their front and rear cameras. Post notifications are sent to all users at the same time and arrive at different times. Users do not know when the notification will arrive and have only two minutes to post it.
Currently companies do not have a BeReal account and have no advertising opportunities. However, the popularity of this platform is reason enough to keep an eye out for updates.
Smart brands and agencies will look to BeReal for future opportunities, promotions or otherwise. As other platforms have become places for businesses to connect, BeReal may one day offer the same.
Pinterest:
Pinterest is back! Well, it never really went anywhere, but there was a time when its popularity waned as other platforms (like TikTok) rose through the ranks.
However, while TikTok and Instagram are places to find recipes, nail inspiration and craft ideas, we're seeing visitors return in droves to check out their Pinterest boards. Could your brand benefit from creating a public display, promoting your product or using advertising space? These are good talking points to discuss with your marketing team or PR agency.
LinkedIn:
Like other content-focused platforms, LinkedIn newsfeeds are full of powerful posts from content creators and influencers. These messages contain thought-provoking, sometimes even controversial, content
More and more executives and entrepreneurs are becoming LinkedIn thought leadership influencers. If you're a business owner, president, or other decision maker at a company, LinkedIn is a great place to start a blog or discussion about your unique policies and strategies. This activity can provide a unique type of brand awareness that can be even more valuable than traditional social media or promotional efforts.
Snapchat:
Many companies consider Snapchat to be outdated, but the platform is popular with some 332 million daily active users. The platform continues to evolve and remain relevant to audiences over the years. Today, users can access your business account or view your paid ads from your Discover page.
Use Snapchat Stories to show behind-the-scenes footage (which customers love), promote events or sales, and other content that can build audience trust. Also consider creating selfie filters to increase brand awareness in a fun and original way.
tick tock
You probably know what the TikTok platform is, but you've probably seen it as a place for younger viewers to spend some money. I'm here to challenge that notion. Statistics show that the estimated spending power of Gen Z has reached $360 billion. This means that platforms like TikTok are no longer just filled with kids, but actually kids who have grown into young adults with money. These TikTok adults are willing to spend that money on brands smart enough to get noticed.
The paid advertising options on TikTok allow you to choose a goal for each ad, be it views, visits or follows. If you've dismissed the idea of an app like TikTok for the younger generation, it's time to rethink.
In short, platforms change almost daily in the changing media landscape. Build a team of experts (including overseas if needed) and help your business stay relevant by engaging new audiences in new ways. If you don't plan for your business to stay relevant in such a digital world, plan for failure.
