For the full-time option, you must be willing to study 38 hours per week. You will normally have a maximum of 14 contact teaching hours during first semester and most weeks during second semester. The course is delivered through a combination of lectures, tutorials, workshops and labs, and session details appear in each module description.
In addition, each unit offers a weekly two-hour workshop with individual consultation with the teacher. Also make an appointment at the end of the year to discuss your academic and personal development with the program leader and a personal and/or professional advisor.
Self-directed learning: To prepare and absorb work from lectures and workshops, you will need to regularly use our online resources, participate in class discussions with virtual learning environments (VLE) and engage in self-study, assessment and reflection. . Approximately 24 hours of work is required in the first and second semesters.
In the third semester, you will do independent research for your thesis (or internal project) and, in general, 38 hours per week must be devoted to it. You will be assigned an independent academic advisor who will support and communicate with you regularly.
Part time opportunity
For the part-time option, you should be willing to dedicate around 19 hours per week to your studies. You will typically have up to 7 hours of contact instruction hours most weeks. The course is delivered through a combination of lectures, lectures, workshops and laboratories, and a detailed description of these activities appears in each unit description.
